Social Work interns at Artbeat Studio

Artbeat Studio is pleased to host Social Work interns Amanda Kristalovich and Amanda Liévana-MacTavish, from the University of Manitoba. The internship runs for 1-year.

Amanda Kristalovich, a University of Manitoba Social Work Student joins Artbeat Studio for the 2015 – 2016 Academic School year. Amanda will be in weekly at Studio Central: Urban Arts Centre.  Originally from Kenora Ontario, she moved to Winnipeg to attend university.  Amanda is a musician, dancer and visual artist.

Amanda also works and volunteers at various organizations with the University of Manitoba. In her spare time Amanda makes art, sings with her family at events and dances with the Ukrainian cultural community. Amanda enjoys working with people and is looking forward to meeting Studio Central Volunteers.

Amanda Liévana-MacTavish recently completed a Bachelor of Arts and the University of Manitoba in 2014 with a major in Native Studies and minor in Religion and is currently working towards a Bachelor of Social Work at the same institution.

Finding resiliency in reading, writing, music and the arts she connects to and wants to learn more about the transformational liminality of creative therapy.
