Today is the launch of Kaleidoscope Online: Wellness Through Creative Expression. Kaleidoscope is an annually published journal featuring the creative writing of persons with lived experience of mental illness from across Manitoba. Our featured artist Graham Hnatiuk. Â Graham’s bold colours and striking textures take shape over an extensive time-consuming process. Hnatiuk works in themes, stringing together ideas from political or environmental origins. Commentary lies among a complexity of variations in each piece. Graham will performing and giving an Artist Talk on Thursday, November 27 at 3:00 p.m.
Artbeat Studio’s new boutique Upbeat Artworks is now open in Portage Place Shopping Centre. Boutique hours are Tuesday thru Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Come visit us at Unit 207, Portage Place Shopping Centre (2nd Floor).
The Recent Alumni Gallery features the work of Michelle Pahpasay, Rowan Lorenz, Sara Maximus, Yekaterina Kaplun, Marlyce Friesen, David Henry, Hanna Friesen, Heide Owens and Holly Enns. Please come to the studio to check out the new exhibits.
There will no Self- Directed Studio on Saturday October 10th. However, our extended options have resumed. Â This includes the Facilitator’s Master Class, Thursday Performance Rehearsal and Self Directed Studio. Our day programs are in full swing. We look forward to seeing you at the Studio!
