Artbeat Studio Inc. is proud to be a part of the Health Sciences Centre’s renewal projects. Two Artbeat alumni artists have facilitated community art projects to create two murals, each representing harmony and diversity.

Ildiko Nova designed and led more than twenty participants to create a mural depicting the animals of the Seven Sacred Teachings. The lion and elephant frame the mural, the lion representing majesty, and the elephant representing gentility.

James mural HSC 2015

Alumnus Yekaterina Kaplun working on the mural facilitated by James Adamson.

James Adamson conceived a humourous look on an experience that everyone experiences in one way or another: a traffic jam. Inside each car you will see people in varying states of whimsy, taking the stress of the gridlock in stride.

These two murals will beautify the journey in from the Tecumseh Parkade into the Health Sciences Centre. They will be unveiled later this year.[hr]
