Studio Central soft Reopening Tuesday, July 7th!
Our hours will be reduced to Tuesday-Friday 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm
allowing for the most effective and proper sanitization of our space. Our reopening will focus on the programming of art workshops, creative writing workshops, and open studio. At this time, our Cafe Central will be closed.
Be on the lookout for updated bulletins and schedules for outdoor workshop days as well as weekly musical performances. Our daily Facebook live-streamed videos (you can watch them here
) will continue as they will be broadcasted on-site at the Studio!
We kindly request, if you are able, to wear a mask in our space to protect the spread of germs to those around you. We have a supply of disposable ones at the front desk if you don’t have your own! Additionally, please give those around you 6.5ft/2m of social distancing space – we’ve changed our layout of tables and chairs to help with this. We have a maximum of 12 participants in our space at a time to allow everyone a comfortable space. If you plan to come to a workshop, it’s a great idea to call ahead and see how busy the studio is, (and if possible register) otherwise you may need to wait outside until space opens up. At this time, we are not able to host groups larger than 3 individuals.
Here is a glimpse at one of the posters you will see in our spaces to help remind each other of the studio’s safety measures.
Update from June 10, 2020
Summer is here and we can’t wait to be reconnected!
As we prepare in the upcoming weeks to reopen Studio Central and our social enterprise Upbeat Artworks, we want to be sure we do so with the safety of our community in mind. Navigating this new normal during COVID-19 will include making necessary and temporary adjustments to our programming in order to adhere to safety recommendations from our local health officials.
We want to take this step together as a community and want to hear feedback from you!

Our Response to COVID-19
As we continue to monitor the situation in Manitoba, we have made the difficult decision to suspend all physical programming for the time being in order to do our part in keeping the community as safe and healthy as possible.
We know that it is a difficult time for those struggling with mental health and many individuals in our community may already experience isolation. For this reason, we will be engaging folks in art and community online through live art demonstrations!
From all of us at Artbeat Studio, stay safe and well.
