On November 3, 2011 Artbeat launched their 6th annual publication, Communitas at Prairie Ink Restaurant in McNally Robinson bookstore. Missive writers Fran Schellenberg, Karen Tool, and Anna Wiebe made presentations. The event was a great success, click the photo above to view the gallery. Thank you to all the donors and supporters of Artbeat Studio during the Winnipeg Foundation’s 90 Hour Challenge fundraising campaign! Through the generous support of 84 donors, we raised $11,337. Contributing for the number of donations & amount received, the Winnipeg Foundation donated $2,789, creating a grand total of $14,126!

These generous donations support long-term sustainability for Artbeat Studio through our ‘Colour Us In’ Endowment Fund.

In celebration of this event Artbeat has released a series of online videos introducing our mascot “Art.” Be sure to follow his story and meet some of our Alumni Artists as they speak about Art’s role in their lives.
