Train of Thought 2015

Changing Tracks: The Impact of Community Arts in Winnipeg. May 22, 2015.

Train of Thought is a creative expedition produced by Jumblies Theatre (Toronto) in collaboration with 40 organizations across Canada, and more than 60 travelers crossing the country by train to offer activities and spark relationships on-board and at 20 stops along the way.

Together, we – First Nations and all those who have settled and found refuge here – will discover ways to create, grieve, celebrate, shift tracks and see the land we share in new ways.

The Arts & Cultural Industries Association of Manitoba (ACI Manitoba) is excited to host its fourth Artists + Community Symposium: Train of Thought Winnipeg, in partnership with Jumblies Theatre, to coincide with the three-day stop of the Train of Thought in Winnipeg!

Train of Thought Winnipeg will take place at the Forks and in Winnipeg’s Historic Exchange District from May 22 – 24, 2015. The symposium is inclusive, accessible and open to the public, featuring several free and low-cost events. It is Manitoba’s foremost gathering of people working for social change using the power of the arts, including: writers; performers; visual artists; film makers; community service organizations; and extraordinary arts organizations who are leading the way in the field of community-engaged arts.
